of course we get a hit after the bunt doesn't get down. i call a strikeout on a curve in the dirt.

we tried that in the first 8 innings and we didn't win, so now we're trying something different. glad the game is still blacked out here, and i can't watch it on tv because of the penguins game that ended an hour and a half ago. maybe i could just drive 3 hours to pittsburgh and just check out the game for myself.

for those keeping track, that's adam laroche's third hit of the year. he's now raised his batting average up to .107, and his ops is a sparkling .407. this is about as cubbish a game as i've seen since... well, maybe the mets loss last year.

i have a friend at work who is a HUGE steelers and pens fan, but he gave up on the pirates after the ramirez trade. he was tired of seeing all their good players leave town, and after littlefield gave away their best player for just about nothing, he walked away from the team. said he wouldn't be back until they start keeping their top talent around. i love the 14th inning stretch.
