we were pretty unlucky in the bottom of the 5th and top of the 6th. and hey speaking of luck, the cards have only given up one run and five hits in eight innings despite only striking out one astro!

if there's one time that i want a reliever with poor command making his first appearance in a big league game this season, it's with the bases loaded in a close ballgame.

nice work, walk a guy with a career 39 OPS+ in the bigs and since it's an early inning, we can't put a good reliever in the ballgame, we have to put the worst guy in the pen out there in a high-leverage situation.

Wind blowing straight in now. It hurt us there, but with a lead and Marquis on the mound, it's probably for the best that it keeps blowing in. not if the rockies dink the ball into holes. that pisses me off, ARam hit a ball that's bouncing on waveland if the wind is blowing the other way.
