mathes sucks. he's way too hittable. 10.5 hits/9 IP and just over 6 K per 9 IP. he's an adequate AAA starter but nothing more. iowa apparently likes playing in front of nobody, b/c they won 7-0 in the first game of their doubleheader. -

That is what is causing this. I just wish one of our not-as-good relievers could just come in and not have to give up a ton of hits. they don't.
