Lou and Gallagher both said something like Lou was trying to light a fire under Gally's ass. I have no problem with Lou going out there and "ripping Sean a new one on national tv". I had no trouble reading Lou's lips, but as they both said Lou was trying to light a fire under his ass..... :lol: Sean left to many pitches up and over the plate and good hitters are going to make you pay. I watched the game again last night and the pitch to Dye was exactly were Geo was set-up and Dye put a good swing on it. Same with the homerun to the 2B that pitch was outside probably little to high but he pulls it to left field. It was great to see Sean settle down and finish the way he did and as everybody has told him this experience it will only make him better. Also this was his first apperance in the "Crosstown classic" and I'm sure he was a little amped up in the beginning and was trying to hard to make the perfect pitch. i thought he did all right given the national stage. the white sox have really been hitting the ball great this month as well, so it was a tough assignment. there were some good pitches that the sox were still able to hit hard. i'd like to see sean be more aggressive when he gets ahead in the count 0-2, throwing tough strikes rather than junk balls that almost nobody will swing at, but that's a beef that i have with about 90% of the pitchers in the league. i think it's just how they're taught these days.

i didn't realize that chris kaman finally showed up for a season. i guess there weren't any really good players picked after him - hinrich and tj ford were the next two guys; david west went after him, but he was 20th. so he's off the list. pryzbilla is pretty bad, but he can get some boards.

yeah if the angels don't score here in the top of the 9th, they'll have a losing no-hitter. don't see that too often.

Can you blame any of us for expecting the worst around every corner? You do realize what team we root for, right? You sound like a fun guy. I mean, Truffle is calling you out about how overtly negative you are. He was busted juicing last year or the year before. I'm not saying that has anything to do with it... just thought it needed pointed out. He was suspended 15 games for the beginning of the 2005 season...I've personally seen the kid play countless games throughout the Southern League before and after that 2005 season and he still looks the same and is one hell of a player. I've read articles quoting him as saying he denies ever taking anything and looking at his numbers since then, I would have to believe him. He did play a month or so last year in AAA and had pretty decent numbers for such few games and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he was a player of the week during that time also. I think the kid deserves a shot, if you can play corner infield I'm sure you can stand out there and do your best Soriano impersonation in one of the corner outfield spots. Craig 27 years old and in AA. He's an organizational filler at this point. most likely, but he hasn't really gotten a shot above west tennessee. blame the cubs for dumping him in daytona for 2006 after he had years of .872 and .799 OPS in AA (a pitcher's league). i wouldn't condemn him to being organizational filler; guys like jack cust and ryan ludwick have contributed at the big league level after being given up for dead. craig's major league PECOTA projections have him at a .260-.270 EqA with decent pop, especially against LHP. it seems to me that they should move him up to iowa and see if he might be able to contribute with the big club as a backup corner IF and RH bat with decent power.

anytime you can give a guy a nickname "beef", you do it. the extra base power and improving patience are very interesting, indeed. hopefully his success and his futures game appearance will get some buzz about him, and we'll get some more analysis on him from BA or BP.
