please take this a-hole out of the game. a pitcher with mediocre stuff who isn't locating might as well be throwing batting practice.

jeff suppan is the brewers' jason marquis. and coincidentally they were both signed off the cardinals. moral of the story - never, ever, ever sign a pitcher who had his best years with the cardinals.

Of all the losses last year, that one hurt the least. You won't believe that but it's true. i can believe it... notre dame fans knew the season was totally hopeless, and it's hard to root against navy because they're a service academy with physically-overmatched players who will go to serve their country after graduation.

What the hell does this even mean? Just an observation. A few years of .500 and better and a lot of them sound like they're coming off multiple World Series titles. or they're just happy that they have a good team since they haven't made the playoffs in 25 years.

If by chance the Cubs fall behind, one of the catchers missing a high fastball wouldn't bother me at all. i hate ankiel more than anyone in baseball, so watching fly balls hit over his head is one of my favorite things in the game right now. usually it involves (a) starting in toward home plate, (b) turning and running frantically away from home plate, looking for the ball, © turning and looking over the other shoulder while running a zig-zag pattern, then (d) missing the ball by a few feet while The Best Fans in Baseball applaud him for his supreme effort to make the catch.

delgado is up to 22 homers now? about a month ago he looked completely cooked. guess he had an edmonds-like turnaround.

though in the case of ankiel, it's probably because he horribly misread the ball off the bat and is forced to make the diving catch. everyone has such a boner over his outfield arm that they forget that he costs them way more runs with his reads than he gets back with a strong arm.

well i think it's very clear cut, though this is a cubs board and i suspect that there will be enough homers that disagree with me. anyway, i've presented my argument, so i'll leave it up to the reader to decide.
