  1. boy we might as well have played arkansas state this week holy cross just lost 45-42 on a last second field goal :x
  2. i got georgia tech right but my parlay with oregon st +15.5 isn't looking too good #-o
  3. yay, bc lost
  4. I wouldn't call it choking as much as I would call it "playing how they were expected to" the guy who caught everything last week is missing relatively easy catches now... that's choking. and yes, pam ward is awful. not sure who the other guy is, but he's not as bad as mike gottfried.
  5. Yes, it is out of line. Evan Longoria is the daddy of the mackdaddy. He better get AL ROY. But you are right in that Galarraga is a very good pitcher on a team full of crap pitchers. Chris Davis of Texas is having a pretty good season as well. I'd still give the nod to Longoria, but Davis's line is very much inline with what Longoria has done. Davis: 276/331/547 Longoria: 278/352/533 longoria has had almost twice as many PAs.
  6. ohio is choking
  7. that's why you come back to ohio st for your season season? to barely beat ohio?
  8. holy cross leads umass 28-21... i'm glad that when i was there, we used to lose to teams like harvard and colgate by 34-3 scores and could never even think to play a team like umass because it would mean losing by 50+ points.
  9. what a pile of fail this game and game thread were.
  10. the cubs have not not scored in 1 consecutive inning.
  11. only 122 pitches for arroyo; dusty took it easy on him.
  12. phew, i was having a real hard time figuring out how many consecutive innings that would've been without a run. thankfully the cubs came through and saved me.
  13. with the help of my trusty abacus, i have determined that the cubs have now failed to score in 19 consecutive innings!!! back to work so that i can have a figure for next inning.
  14. Im curious, how many consecutive will it be if they don't happen to score next inning? i'm doing the math right now. hopefully i will have it done by the time the cubs finish not scoring next inning.
  15. given his health history, this is a bad idea.
  16. the cubs haven't scored a run in 18 consecutive innings, guys.
  17. if the cubs miss the playoffs can i come over and see your burned down house? because i think that will make me feel a little better about the whole thing.
  18. hey guys i don't know if you were aware, but the cubs haven't scored a run in 17 straight innings. i'll make sure to update this next inning in case the cubs don't score then.
  19. Lieber piggybacked by Wuertz for game 1 I think then Marshall and Hill for 2 and 3 respectively i like it... that's the type of outside-the-box thinking that will put the cubs over the top.
  20. nice inning by lieber... not to jump to conclusions or anything, but maybe he should start game 1 of the playoffs if we get there.
  21. he's been pretty good since the all star break and i'm pretty sure that the cubs' offense is just slumping, not morons.
