  3. here's prior's pitch counts, starting from the second game back after the marcus giles collision: 116 118 100 116 131 129 109 124 131 133 133 116 119 that's an average of 121+ pitches per game from august to october, including 125 per game over his last 9 starts, in a season where he was (a) 23 years old and (b) pitching 60 more innings than he had in any other season of his life. arrieta's season high in pitches (123) was tonight, meaning that prior threw more pitches in 6 of his last 9 starts of 2003 than arrieta has in any single outing in 2015. get a grip, folks.
  4. bryant is everything i knew he would be and you should all be ashamed for doubting his inevitable brilliance.
  5. You're just finding out about this now? yeah for whatever reason i haven't heard his walkup music before tonight, or if i did i just forgot.
  6. nice of that guy who looks like ted cruz to make sure everything is okay with that fan.
  7. lol @ david ross' walkup music, forever young
  8. why does baez have the jaw guard on his helmet?
  9. lol what a terrible 0-2 pitch. wtg soler.
  10. (a) i wonder if george wendt gets tired of being asked about norm pederson. (b) i feel like george wendt needs to start losing weight, because you don't normally see people with his physique living well into their later years.
  11. i think his hand may have come off the bag briefly, but if it did it's because bryant pushed it off the bag.
  12. One of the outs was with the pitcher batting, but, yes, one of our hitters struck out. God forbid. the cubs have a line of .244/.341/.411/.753 with runners on third and less than two outs. rondon fan and ski certainly have a higher failure rate with their posts than the cubs do with runners on third and less than two outs. Hahaha. Isn't that about identical to their overall batting line? overall is .244/.321/.401.722 bases empty is .241/.308/.399/.708 in conclusion, ski and rondon fan are clueless (nothing new there)

  14. please introduce gary jones to some literature about run expectancy with a runner on third base and zero outs.
  15. then they'd probably have a hard time explaining why the cubs have a better xFIP than the cardinals this season.
  16. Cards fans said that Rizzo stands on top of the plate and needs to be brushed back. Soooooo.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/poolboybob/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsbzxliwii.jpeg
  17. Oh hey look, Rondon Fan was wrong. Again.
  18. Gonna go out on a limb and say that Rosscup doesn't make the playoff roster.
  19. yeah according to @cubsump, lynn got screwed by one single call by the home plate umpire, and it was on a pitch that he threw to haren that should've been called a strike. what a fat douche bag.
