    they drew terribly in the late 90s but were a terrible team. they became competitive and then moved up to the middle of the pack among AL teams in attendance. the marlins and devil rays were much bigger jokes; the twins should never have been on the contraction list.

    Twins fans are a joke. You only show up on the road. Your crap act almost got your team contracted. that's because the commissioner and mlb owners were idiots. That maybe, but still why the hell would you make it an option by never showing up in Minnesota but invading other teams parks? they draw ok especially for a small market team.

    yeah i think a lot of the excitement about kirk is because he's a prep pitcher, but i don't think he sounds all that promising. he'll probably be the next darin downs.

    frankly i think it would be awesome if orlando just decided to completely tank it so that the lakers don't get to celebrate their victory at home. i'd probably even watch that game if the magic promised to lose by at least 50.

    Orlando will win Game 5. Lakers win Game 6. ok, is anyone who isn't a laker fan going to watch any games the rest of the series? everyone knows it's over so what's the point of watching except if you're a laker fan who wants to enjoy the moment for the 80th time.

    yeah at some point i stopped rooting for them because they didn't deserve to win, and started rooting for the lakers so that i could stop paying attention to the series altogether.

    maybe the nba can engineer another trade of a really good player to LA for a dump in a paper bag, just to make sure the lakers will be good for the next 5 years.
