  1. call him back up... he's on my Hacking Mass team and i need him to start sucking for the big club again.
  2. The Pirates only managed 4 runs in 2 games against the Ass Cubs. I'd hate to be THOSE guys. these cubs are ass, that's for sure.
  3. atkins had a no hitter, no walk game (there was an error) through 6 but gave up three hits and a run in the 7th.
  4. nice work cobs, 3 runs in 2 games against the butt pirates.
  5. the pirates are having a charity auction and they haven't stopped talking about it. i'm all for charity, but after almost 2 hours of this i've had enough. time for the mute button.
  6. sad that lilly's at bat was one of the cubs' best tonight.
  7. That's really not fair though two of those are by Fontenot, who's garbage. One is Lilly. Should only be 3. fair point, ohlendorf isn't in the national league so he doesn't face pitchers in other games, and he doesn't face bad hitters on other teams either. Awesome a sarcastic response. Would have never expected that. Fontenot is about as bad as it gets right now. yes in response to a bad post by you, which i also never would have expected.
  8. That's really not fair though two of those are by Fontenot, who's garbage. One is Lilly. Should only be 3. But he still is facing an opposing pitcher in the other games that helped him accumulate his K/IP # and most teams have a guy that is similar to Fontenot's suckage I don't know about that. Who do the Cardinals have who is as bad as Fontenot? The Brewers? khalil greene, jason kendall, bill hall.

  10. 6 K's in 5 innings against a guy who's averaging less than 1 K per 2 IP. way to go losers.
  11. we really could've used mark derosa. or someone who can play second base and not suck ass offensively.
  12. that was crushed... just hit it to the wrong part of the park.
  13. You're playing the Bad News Bears. That's how. Cause Soto made an awful throw after not really hustling after the ball. It wasn't that bad, just a little low. It wasn't in the dirt by any means. Lilly just whiffed on it. he had his glove up by his chest though... they had a lot of time and there was no need to throw the ball low to get a tag. just a good throw at lilly's upper body would've gotten the out.
  14. runner was going right away and soto didn't see it. lilly came to cover home but soto threw hard and low and lilly had his glove up, so he didn't catch it. they would've had the out if soto threw it higher.
  15. the pirates announcers saying what a great job by freddy sanchez. yep great job running into an out and being lucky enough that the catcher made a bad throw.
  16. hey at least ohlendorf is really good so it's not pathetic to get dominated by him.
  17. Yeah but I'd rather his OPS be OBP-heavy than SLG-heavy. We need guys like him getting on base, not cranking HRs. I agree I would rather have Theriot, who will most likely be batting 2nd the rest of the season, having a OBP strong OPS and not a SLG strong OPS. Theriot's OBP is what .335 right now? I would much prefer he went back to his slap hitting, going to RF, working the count ways and had a OBP around .370-.385 and SLG about .100ish points less. yeah but i don't think you can assume that pitchers are going to keep walking theriot 73 times a year if he is just a singles hitter.
  18. Flaherty's peripherals tell me he'll be fine. The guy's hitting for a decent amount of power and is maintaining solid walk and strikeout numbers. Plus, he's managed not to be horrifically incompetent at SS like many of us were predicting him to be. Granted, I still think he'll have to be moved off of the position, but it seems like defense won't be much of a problem with him when he does. He's still in my Top 15 FWIW. not sure how accurate it is, but according to firstinning, his LD% is 9.
  19. i'm hoping that the brewers think he's good and keep giving him lots of playing time.
  20. exactly. he says he loves the cubs, so let's see it in action.
  21. I don't mind that choice to run. If he is successful a single scores a run and if not Milton leads off the inning. Now I don't know if I would have went on the first pitch, but I don't mind the call. i don't mind the call either, but given how concerned they were about the runner, it seemed like there was a good chance they'd pitch out on the first pitch.
