  1. meanwhile all of the trash in the east is getting through, including the flyers who will be playing without more or less their entire roster. boston or washington will pretty much have a bye through to the EC finals.
  2. the wings really are good, not great and jimmy howard is mediocre.
  3. lol trevor hoffman just imploded and gave up 5 in the top of the 9th against the pirates. the brewers' pitching is so terrible.
  4. fontenot is hitting nearly .300 and has an OPS below .700. nice secondary skills.
  5. his physician has ordered him to rest until the baby is born
  6. 0-4 tonight. Might be time to sit him in. Can Nady play first? Uh, Nady's been about as competent with a bat as Lee has. May as well let him play his way out of it. I'd move him down though for the time being... problem is, we keep having to move down our "best hitters" because they aren't hitting.
  7. hernandez' babip coming into this game was .155. he's been incredibly lucky so far this year.
  8. has hernandez thrown a pitch on the inner half of the plate yet? everything is away, away, away. should be looking there by now.
  9. faneca must have gone downhill in a hurry if he's only able to get that deal.
  10. pretty sure that is the first time we've ever gotten nyjer morgan out. or maybe it just seems like that.
  11. isn't alberto gonzalez the former u.s. attorney general?
  12. that kinda shows how their luck is going right now, ramirez drills one just short of the basket but soriano hits a blooper that falls in.
  13. yes because every dirty play ends up with somebody horribly maimed. you must love the NHL's rule of punishing the injury and not the infraction. clearly your eyes are not working so i'll leave this discussion now, unless someone else who's reasonable cares to weigh in. wow, this means a lot to you, huh? not saying the play wasn't dirty, just that hamhuis wasn't as injured as he let on. he went into the boards really fast; at the very least i'm sure the wind was completely knocked out of him. it only means something to me because you're so wrong.

  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c82-k7Ce12M if you really think the guy dove into the boards at 90 mph then you're even more deluded than i thought. his body bounced two feet back off the boards.
  16. i really really really hope this isn't referring to the hossa hit.
  17. Their reputation preceeds them. this isn't a new thing with them:
  18. no longer will america be menaced by these predators. http://www.methodshop.com/games/play/chrishansen/chris.jpg
  19. sounds like a personal problem
  20. just watched some of the highlights of the caps-habs game. varlamov gave up two bad goals. i don't know if washington can win a cup with that goaltending; getting out of the first round is proving difficult enough.
  21. Nobody dares question the crazy old man. Or they, too, are incompetent and don't even realize it was a dumb move. yeah i think a lot of the newspaper people are old guys who eat up the small-ball crap.
