  1. this is going to be one hell of a comeback.

  3. my sig will be 9,000 characters long before i'm done with you! also, you are frequently wrong. No [expletive], genius. You really think I'm saying these things in a thread like this like I'm worried about some kind of tally? didn't really mean this thread specifically.

  5. lance lynn wasn't even that good in the minors, where does this [expletive] (>1 k per inning pitched) come from?
  6. hey, the yankees lost again.
  7. Pittsburgh, Cincy, Indy all lost. If New England loses to Seattle and San Diego loses to Denver, only Baltimore and Houston will be over .500. and Seattle in that scenario http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rZxKilLVYk4/Tzp5FHku2yI/AAAAAAAAAyU/g_k73uauybI/s200/jaguars-fan-confused-wtf.gif
  8. cram it. i'm meatballin'.
  9. yankees lose and [expletive] jose valverde sucked. i'd say this turned out well.
  10. same. he's been a very good player for a long time and seems really well-liked by teammates, managers, reporters, etc. and he's a good leader, for whatever that is worth. plus he's pulled some crazy tail.
  11. has octavio dotel pitched for every team in major league baseball or does it just seem like that?
  12. Who cares about the Yankees anymore? They don't win every year, they don't buy every superstar that comes on the market anymore. Yes they still have the largest payroll in the game by a big margin, but that hasn't guaranteed them anything except 1 World Series title in the last 12 years. I'm not rooting for them or anything, but I honestly would be pretty indifferent if they won this year. I don't dislike the Yankees at all. I wanted the O's to win just because I've seen the Yankees over and over again in the playoffs, but if every organization tried to win as much as the Yankees, baseball would be better off. it's less the "trying to win" part than the "massive financial advantage and 26 championships" part that makes them so hateable. but really it's nice to see some breaks finally going the yankees' and cardinals' way after teams like the cubs dominated the past century of baseball.
  13. so God is pretty much just trolling baseball fans at this point, right?
  14. derek lowe is on the yankees now? that doesn't seem right.
  15. Last time I whined about the Bush Push per a cursory NSBB search: November 19, 2005. You're a fun fellow, abuck. Don't ever change. you're off by four years. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=55807&p=2301271&hilit=bush#p2301271
  16. does that really matter? incompetence is not limited to conference, and if you're suggesting that conference referees give home cooking to teams from their own conference, then that should be a pretty damn big scandal.
  17. no, he's right about the insufferable notre dame fanbase being the reason that people hate notre dame.
  18. i wish that kind of stuff would happen to the st. louis cardinal.
  19. well hopefully he starts wanting to draw some walks.
  20. Considering? Newsflash: at this point not believing that some god or gods are real and favor the Cardinals makes you a lunatic. good point.
  21. to recap the last calendar year plus for the cardinals: -get into playoffs after braves suffer one of the greatest collapses in history. -beat heavily favored phillies, whose bats completely fall asleep. -win world series over favored rangers after rangers blow a pair of two-run leads in game six. top performers include people named allen craig and david freese. -make the playoffs in 2012 as a team that wouldn't have made the playoffs in any other year since major league baseball began. -win "play-in" game after a disputed call and horrendous defense by the opposing team. -win game five of NLDS after very good opposing starter struggles to hold lead, very good opposing bullpen melts down, and people named daniel descalso and peter kozma overcome a two-run deficit in the ninth inning. strongly considering atheism at this point.
  22. daniel delcalso and pete kozma, DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING AT ALL
  23. brb burning down the earth
