  1. I hope everyone in America agrees with you. And I mean that. Agreed. because that means that everyone else in America realizes, like you do, that Notre Dame doesn't deserve a BCS spot. Under the BCS rules, with only 2 teams allowed per conference, ND does deserve a bid. that's a bad rule. Wisconsin, Arkansas and Auburn all could've had a legitimate argument for being in there, probably Wisconsin with the strongest argument with only 1 loss.
  2. yeah the first few minutes of the ND-LSU game will be really fun, until the game gets out of hand go USC, go Florida, go LSU, go Boise St, who cares about Louisville-Wake
  3. really cannot listen to lou holtz
  4. college football news also all the bowl games like an hour ago
  5. spoiler! Final BCS standings
  6. TB kicked a short FG as time ran out to lose to the Steelers 20-3. So lame. Congrats guys, you avoided a shutout. I'm not bitter about losing my shutout in 3 of my fantasy league or anything :D
  7. shut up, romo
  8. lmao nice defense there giants
  9. i'm sure everyone on this board was on the edge of their seats awaiting the final from that game
  10. Yeah well we all KNOW this, but what's the sense in sitting here saying the BCS sucks? It does and everyone knows it does, but we're stuck with it, so we might as well debate the garbage they've given us.
  11. not if you have a great defense. Penn State has one of the 10 best defenses in the country. But they're 55th in offense and 72nd in turnover margin, and all of their good offensive performances came against bad teams. typically a top 10 defense in the country is enough to get you ranked no matter how bad your offense is. that's a little difficult when you play four teams that are better than you overall and you don't pull any of them out. typically a team with a top ten D gets into the top 25. Auburn's offense has proven to be only marginally better, their defense only marginally better. yet they find themselves sitting at what, #10? after getting smoked by a generall uninspiring Georgia team two weeks ago? c'mon man. the difference between those two teams are slight. certainly the difference is not one at #10 and one not rated whatsoever. TCU is 4th in total defense and they just got ranked this week. Miami is 5th in total defense and they aren't ranked. Wyoming is 8th in total defense and they aren't ranked. Georgia is 9th in total defense and they aren't ranked. Western Michigan is 11th. Clemson is 12th. Florida St is 15th. All of those teams are ahead of Penn State (16th) in total defense. Penn State played a harder schedule and better offenses than nearly all of those teams. Florida State, Miami and Georgia have defenses in the same league as Penn State, but the rest don't.
  12. lol, that nebraska inflatible guy is comical
  13. the giants really need to can tom coughlin. Their team takes so many undisciplined penalties, and their false start/illegal shift/procedure penalties have killed them.
  14. seems like something henry burriss could have done

Auburn beat Florida and LSU. I can assure you that Penn State would not have a chance against either of those teams.
  16. How about this stupid thing? http://www.buckeyextra.com/xo-images/1023-brutus-wolverine.jpg A nut for a head, then it's a guy wearing a polo shirt, sweatpants and black nikes.

  18. Penn State is NOT severely underrated. Penn State beat Akron, Youngstown State, Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Illinois, Temple and Michigan State. They're good enough to beat bad or average teams, but not good enough to beat good teams. LSU beat two top 10 ranked teams on the road. Auburn beat two top 10 teams at home. Wisconsin didn't beat a team that won a game against a top 25 opponent.
  19. As is the put an inferior team in the title game argument. Inferior by what criteria? records? game resumes? Florida's terrible play 6 of the last 7 games? They played terribly last night? Did you watch the game last night? They looked pretty awful until Fish for Arkansas decided to be a bonehead and muff the punt at his own 3-yard line. Yet they beat a top 10 team by 10 points. Funny how easy it is to write that off. Hey, here are some close games against mediocre competition: at Cincinnati (7-7) W 23-19 at Northwestern (3-9, 1-7 conference) W 27-16 at Wisconsin (8-6, 2-6 conference) W 19-14 Penn State (8-4, 5-3 conference) W 13-7 at Purdue (4-4, 7-6 conference) W 10-6 at Illinois (5-7, 4-4 conference) W 23-16 Michigan (10-3, 6-2 conference) W 14-9 A lot of close games against some not-so-great competition. Maybe this team shouldn't have been allowed to play for a championship either.

  21. As is the put an inferior team in the title game argument. As is the "Michigan is the better team and deserves to play for the national championship even though there's no evidence of this" argument that's incredibly lame. both as an argument in general and because there's plenty of evidence that Michigan is the second best team in the county and until the voters completely changed the way they vote, everybody agreed UM was better. feel free to share this evidence with the rest of us

  23. no way, Romo is way too great to intentionally ground the ball
  24. hey great idea, except instead of mercker let's sign someone who's actually good
  25. Most years when there are rematches, they're a rematch from something that happened much earlier in the year - not a rematch of the last game that each team played. In that case, why don't we send Boise State or Louisville to the national championship game? They have 0 and 1 loss, respectively. What about Florida and Florida State in 1996? This is an absolute screw job for Michigan. Answer me this: If USC won yesterday, what do you think the BCS standings would look like today? 1. OSU 2. USC 3. Michigan 4. Florida The coaches screwed us again just like 1997. You don't have to like us, you have to remain unbiased. Very pathetic.
