    Had Z been a free agent this offseason, I think he'd have received more money in his contract than Zito. Probably. I'd expect the Cubs will have to give him a similar contract to the one that Zito just received.

    well okie state sure is doing their best to let alabama win. Apparently this is what it looks like when two teams that shouldn't be in a bowl game, play in a bowl game. A battle over who can do a better job of losing the game.

    btw, I can't say I'm thrilled about having a lot of confidence on Cal over aTm tonight. Not after watching Oregon be completely uncompetitive against BYU, Arizona State get drilled by Hawai'i, and then UCLA losing to a mediocre F$U team. Guess I can hope for more from the top tier of the Pac 10.

    Especially since you put at least 20 points on two underdogs from the Big 12. The K-State one is the big one. I don't think OSU-Bama or aTm-Cal are on different levels. Maybe not, but that's different than putting 3 of your top 13 confidence rankings on OSU and aTm. You're looking pretty good with the OSU pick though. I just thought that was a terrible game (two .500 teams) and didn't feel good putting much faith in either team.

    I can see any team in the NFC beating any other team in the NFC. All the teams that will be in the playoffs are inconsistent to a degree, and have enough of a major weakness, that they can be conceivably lose to any of the other five teams.

    If both teams won out from here, Carolina would just have to beat NO in week 17 to win the division by virtue of sweeping them. The Saints still have to play a dangerous Washington team and the Cowboys They host Washington. That's not a dangerous game. The road game against the Giants will not be easy, though. bump :oops:
