    Problem is, a lot of those guys are too good to make this team. Darren Daulton ended up being a very good hitting catcher. Kruk could hit. Lenny Dykstra is probably the ultimate grinder, but he was incredible in 1993, and was generally a very good player when he wasn't busy hurting himself. I'd say if you're looking for a grinder on that team who fits on the "overrated grinder" team, it's probably either Inky or Dave Hollins.

    Tennessee with a big 5-2 win to go a half game up on Huntsville, who are tied 2-2 through 7. If Huntsville loses, Tenn clinches at least a share of the first half title. Veal pitched only 5 innings - probably had a high PC since he allowed 7 baserunners. Iowa trails 6-5 after a PH RBI single by Soto in the 6th. Rocky Cherry tossed a perfect 7th, striking out 2. Would be nice to see him get back on track. Murton walked in his fourth PA.
