    Phillies down to their last strike, but Rollins tripled and came home on a Ryan Church throwing error. Headed to extras there. Houston leads the Dodgers by a run in the 8th. D'backs lead Florida 1-0 in the 2nd Braves just underway

    Iowa pouring it on with a Murton double, Soto triple and Kroeger homer. Pie also tripled in the third, but didn't score. It's 10-0 now. If Cedeno, Moore and Fontenot were back with Iowa, and they were throwing out this lineup: Patterson 2B Pie CF Fontenot SS Murton RF Kroeger 1B Soto C Moore 3B Coats LF Wouldn't that be a better lineup than the big club is putting out there?

    The White Sox relief pitching is absolutely garbage. You could probably go out there trying to throw a knuckle ball every time and still do better than most of their relievers. Contreras brought the gas can tonight too... his ERA is up over 6.00 now. Good luck getting solid value for him on the trade market, Kenny.

    man the white sox have AWFUL pitching speaking of awful pitching, alfonseca combined with someone named zagurski to blow a 2-run 9th inning lead to the nationals. I like the Phillies but as a Cub fan who realizes that they have pretty good talent, I have to root against them.

    I have no idea what the Brewers were doing. Jenkins K'd, then Fielder tried to steal 2nd, Valentin almost threw it into CF but Lopez picked it and threw Mench out at home. And now Lopez got hit in his face and bleeding from his mouth. Wow. Did he get hit in the face on a pitch? Wow. That's awful. braun, fielder and cordero should be suspended 15 games each

    more of the usual from iowa, they're pounding c-springs 7-0 after an inning and a half. Patterson is 1-2 with a run Pie 1-2 with 2 runs and a SB Murton with a pair of RBI singles Soto has single, run, and was hit by a pitch Kroeger walked twice, once with the bases loaded to plate a run

    how many catchers in MLB are considered an actual offensive threat? Pudge? Victor Martinez Jorge Posada Russell Martin Joe Mauer Brian McCann Kenji Johjima (to some extent now) Pudge But most teams have catchers who aren't a complete black hole on offense. i'll give you Mauer, but none of the others are offensive threats imho... Sori for 3! Hmmm. What constitutes an offensive threat in your book? apparently not a catcher with a .933 OPS.
