  1. Where's imb?
  2. really? go do some dishes or laundry and leave football talk to the men
  3. would've been better had they been ranked and beaten an unranked team, right? actually, thanks for validating my point. Iowa's looked far better than Purdue's. It was a much bigger win, I agree. correct, thank you. Purdue has their biggest win in recent memory and has terrible intensity.

  5. congrats to Purdue for least impressive rushing of the field ever.
  6. i wanna be at the party in purdue tonight
  7. you sure it's food stamps and not just food coupons for the fair? that's how the taste of chicago does it My first thought was food stamps, but thinking about it a bit more, yeah, those might be coupons. who knew you were such a massive racist..... :-) takes one to know one?
  8. unfortunately they have three more freebies on the schedule (home games against indiana, northwestern and minnesota) and should beat michigan st in e. lansing, so probably their only chance of losing will be at ohio st. Im more worried about MSU than Ohio St. If Ricky ever figures out how to start a game properly, we'll be a complete team. At least no pick 6's today.
  9. Im tired of your face
  10. why is your den hanging? will i love the cubs if i follow suit?
  11. I have plenty. I even posted some in this thread. Selective reading is fun Anyway: -The 2001 Rockies game -The clinching DH against Pittsburgh in 2003 -Hollandsworth's faceplant catch in Anaheim in 2004 -The final game of the 4-game sweep at Milwaukee in July 2008. My brother and I were at that game, and from about the bottom of the 7th inning on it was 95% Cubs fans in there. That was probably the most fun I've ever had at a baseball game -The Nomar trade. God was I pumped at the time. I really thought that was going to put us over the top -The Harden trade -The comeback at Wrigley against the Rockies in 2008 -2008's 9-game winning streak (in which I started those game threads). The Cubs played out of their minds. It was like they were never going to lose again. -Z's no-hitter. Need any more? the cubs didn't win the world series in any of those years, so they all suck Witty AND clever. And also wrong. Again. The Cubs did in fact win the world series in one, or all, of those years?

  13. Yeah, we weren't coming back after Game 6. My brother, still the eternal optimist, thought that there was still NO WAY the Cubs could lose Game 7. I got my wallet before the game, laid out all the money in it at the time (about $65) and told him it was his if the Cubs won, and he wasn't on the hook for a single penny if the Cubs lost. I think I spent that money on my phone bill. http://pix.motivatedphotos.com/2008/8/8/633538024635823293-17dollarsgangsta.jpg
  14. Does your wife roll her eyes as hard as I do when you go on a diatribe? Thank your for your insightful input on this topic that enhances discussion in the thread, and therefore NSBB in general. Seeing as you did not point out anything specifically wrong with my post, I'll assume you agree. all I heard was nomnomnom
  15. Does your wife roll her eyes as hard as I do when you go on a diatribe?
  16. Also - does this mean we can stop getting Forcier man-love jammed down our throats now? I felt like I was watching Outside the Lines for the first 3 quarters until the golden boy got benched.
  17. Yea, rushing the field was dumb. Not as catastrophic as everyone here is making it out to be, considering the Michigan-hate in Iowa I can partly understand it. We played like [expletive], luckily Michigan was worse.
  18. oh ho ho
  19. Which one did you play? Which one did YOU play Is gluttony a sport?
  20. Tell me guys, could last night have been the final Twins game in the Metrodome? I'm not quite certain.
  21. Sounds horrible. I caught part of this on the radio when we were heading home, but didnt catch who it was. That's just plain terrible.
  22. MSU has always been a thorn in our side in their house. I would not overlook them.
  23. Notre Dame was not ranked going into today's game. Iowa had more votes than Notre Dame in both polls. Well then. I should know better than to listen to people at a bar. Charlie Weis is still fat though.
  24. You dont really want to be remembered for that one, do you?
  25. If Iowa isn't ranked after this game, kittens will die. And how we lost our Week 1 ranking by beating a very, very good UNI team, and Notre Dame is still ranked even before today is beyond me. Shiny gold pants does not equal greatness. Also, someone get JoePa out of the rain. He's going to catch his death out there.
