FSL and Daytona Cubs Announce 2006 Schedule

Daytona Beach, FL – The Florida State League has officially announced its schedule for the 2006 season. The Daytona Cubs will look to build off of what proved to be a record-breaking season at historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark, as 128,456 fans experienced Cubs baseball in 2005.

 

The Cubs will kick off the 2006 season with Opening Day on Thursday, April 6, playing host to their neighbors from the South, the Brevard County Manatees, for a four-game home stand. Fireworks will follow that night’s game, as the Cubs continue their tradition of Opening Night Fireworks. Several other weekly promotions are back once again for the 2006 season.

 

The Opening Night Fireworks will be one of 15 firework shows during the course of the 2006 season. Fireworks will follow all 12 Saturday home dates in addition to July 3 and July 4. “Thirsty Thursday” returns to JRB this season with discounts on all beverages throughout the course of every Thursday home game. “Belly Buster Monday” is back, as well, where a $10 ticket includes all-you-can-eat on select concession items.
