I know, I know it is Ken Rosenthal, but it :shock: me to know the Cubs could have had Vicente Padillia for Glendon Rusch.

I wonder if the Phils waivered at all or if they were looking to get the pot sweetened? I would love to have had Padilla. Isn't he Venezuelian? If so, it might have produced a nice little friendly rivalry between he and Zambrano.

He's Nicaraguan. Looks like he was terrible at the beginning of the season, but he's really turned it around in July/August.
