Heck, it could come down to the last 4 games of the year which are in Houston... Hopefully we'll still be in it then (or clinched 8) )

Between now and August 15th, the Cubs host a 4-game series against Arizona, are on the road for 3 in Philly and 3 in New York, home for 3 against the Reds and 4 against the Cards. Thats 17 games. In their last 17, they have gone 12-5. I doubt they will match that record against those teams. The Astros schedule between now and then is considerably easier. One more against Philly and 4 against the Mets on the road, then to Arizona for 3 and San Fran for 3 before returning home to host Washington for 3 and Pittsburgh for 3.

 

It sounds odd to say, but if the Cubs can arrive in Houston on the 15th no more than 3 back, I'll be...happy.
