Sept. 15: The Iowa Cubs had their series opener at the Omaha Storm Chasers postponed due to weather conditions. No date has been set for the contest to be made up.

Double-A: Knoxville Smokies

Sept. 15: The Knoxville Smokies opened their Southern League Division Series against the Rocket City Trash Pandas with a 9-2 defeat on Tuesday night at Toyota Field. The Trash Pandas opened the scoring in the contest with two runs in the second but the Smokies cut the lead in half on Angel Cepeda’s (1-for-3) solo shot in the third. Carter Trice (1-for-3) made it 2-2 in the fourth with an RBI-double but Rocket City would go back in front with three runs in the sixth. The hosts then put the game away with four runs in the eighth to make it 9-2. Brooks Caple got the start on the mound for Knoxville and took the loss. Caple allowed three runs on four hits over 5 1/3 innings of work, walked two and struck out four. The Smokies offense was held to just three hits in the ballgame and would take just one at-bat with runners in scoring position, going 0-for-1.

High-A: South Bend Cubs
2026 Season Record: 77–51

The South Bend Cubs season came to an end on Thursday, falling to the Quad City River Bandits in game 2 of the Midwest League Division Series. The Cubs finished the regular season with a 77-51 record, a league best mark.

Single-A: Myrtle Beach Pelicans
2026 Season Record: 50–77

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ season came to an end on September 4 after both of their contests on September 5 and September 6 were rained out. The Pelicans finished the 2026 season with a 50-77 record.
