Yes, as Sammy Sofa pointed out, you get the money back and take on the new salary. As long as you don't go over the cap ($1,000) and it doesn't violate any other criteria, it's a legal transaction.

• Why isn’t Tommy Edman the leader at 2B?
  He wasn’t qualified in the 2025 groups; and is a bench player.

• There are 3 players ahead of Riley Green in LF - what gives?
  Schwarber and Rooker are DHs in our game, and Wood is a bench player. Furthermore - Kerry Carpenter is a RF in this game, and that’s why he’s not tied with Greene.
