1. Ha-Seong Kim, SS, Kiwoom Heroes

Kim is expected to be posted after this season and will command considerable interest. He’s a 24-year-old shortstop who hit .307/.389/.491 with 19 home runs, 104 RBI and 33 stolen bases in 37 attempts for Kiwoom last year. Kim is a solid all-around player who projects to stick at shortstop. He’s a good athlete with good instincts at the position and has the average arm strength to stay on the left side of the infield. He projects to be an above-average hitter and has enough power to hit 12-15 home runs a year in the majors. Kim is likely to face an adjustment period at the plate when he first arrives in the U.S., but he has the athleticism and twitch to adjust and eventually hit major league velocity. He's a plus runner who adds value on the bases as well. Kim projects as an everyday major league shortstop who makes an impact on both sides of the ball and on the basepaths. He would be a Top 100 Prospect if he signed today.

I realize the KBO is not for everyone here, but the league definitely has some major league caliber talent. I'm not super familiar with SS Ha-Seong Kim. I like what little I've seen so far, but there is always an adjustment period when they come over. It's just that the pitching (and velocity) is much better in MLB.

Kim is very talented and plans on coming over next offseason. I don't think the Cubs get involved however...

Brewers will probably be all over him

I'm not sure about the Brewers.

I could see a bunch of teams on the west coast having strong interest in Ha-Seong Kim. The Giants possibly... I think Seattle will have strong interest in him, and that might be my prediction where he lands. Maybe Oakland views him as a solid replacement for Marcus Semien (who is definitely leaving in FA) next year? Maybe the Angels?

He's currently hitting .278/.391/.523 with 15 HRs. Very impressive player and I could see a bidding war breaking out for his services next offseason. Still pretty young with some potential upside too.
