You've got to send Albertos to Arizona at some point. This is painful for him.

I haven't been able to confirm this but the rumor is Albertos is reworking his mechanics to help avoid future elbow problems and that is the reason for his recent difficulties. If that is the case, they may want to keep him in South Bend to work with that specific pitching coach. At this point, it's just a theory with one unconfirmed report behind it.
