I'm not a doc, but I've been fighting leg injuries from running lately and have done a lot of Google-fu on leg injuries lately to figure out what is wrong with me. Based on the fact that he couldn't use the leg after the injury, he's out at least 3 months.

You could tell he joked but not in an insulting way by the way Braun only smiled and acknowledged he'd gotten got

Remember that Arrieta never seemed the same after his hamstring strain, which was only supposed to keep him out for a couple of starts. Granted time between remainder of season and postseason was pretty thin.
