Given how bad the Cubs starters have been in the first couple of innings all year long, I am wondering if during the pre-season Bosio or Maddon made some change to their routine to make fewer warmup pitches (or something else) to try to save more bullets for the game itself. It just seems too coincidental how bad all the starters have been in the first inning in particular. I recall that the Cubs dictated fewer spring training innings for the starters; but that can't be an excuse after the first couple of starts
