Per AZ Phil:

17-year old RHP Jose Albertos (2015 IFA - Mexico - $1.5M bonus) struck out the side in a 1-2-3 5th inning for the Cubs, mixing a mid-90's fastball with a plus-curve to blow the D'backs away.

When the Cubs signed him the only article I could find was in Spanish. When I did the google translation, it said that some scouts thought Albertos was in the top 3 IFA pitchers available this year. Google translations can be quite muddled sometimes so I wasn't sure if they meant Mexican League prospects or all IFAs. Turns out the translation may have been right.

Pierce Johnson is never going to put together a healthy season, is he?

Can't the same be said for every relevant Cubs pitching prospect of the past 15 years?

Why are you saying this on a day when Hendricks is pitching?

So who's pitching for Beloit this evening?

Duno. Why?

Don't you think you should find out?

No, that's his name. Angel Duno. When the initial of his first name was "I", he played third. But he changed it when he became a pitcher. In case you're wondering who's on first, it's Chris Iriart.
