I'm currently just subscribed to MLB Audio, and now of course I want to see the NLDS vs. STL. MLB shows two packages: a postseason package for $9.99 which looks like the thing I should get; but then there's this other package advertising "alternate camera angles" and no blackouts for $4.99. What the heck is this?

There is no online streaming video of the playoffs via MLB that shows the primary camera angles, you'd be watching like first base camera views and stuff like that.

The only way to watch the NLDS or NLCS is to have a cable package with TBS or to have someone else's cable login that has TBS so you can watch the streaming through TBS's website.

While this is true, TBS is on Sling TV which is only $20/mo and has the game as well. It's what I used. Sling also has a free 7 day trial you can use for the NLDS.

Is that pretty much the story for the NLCS too? IIRC all NL postseason games are on TBS.

Yep. These are pretty much your only bets.

You can link your mlb.tv subscription to your cable login to be able to stream the TBS feed through mlb.tv. Although oddly, it worked on my ipad but not on my apple tv or playstation. Those were still blacked out even with the linking.

Oh man this got me excited that I could watch the MLB.tv stream(which is not a pitch or two behind live/Twitter like TBS.com) but the login I have(Charter) isn't supported. No Comcast either it seems.

The MLB.tv stream is a good 20-30 seconds behind cable

I've found that depends on what you're using to watch MLB.tv. Native apps, like on a Roku or Fire TV can lag as much as a full batter behind live. I use a Kodi add-on to get the streams via my MLB.tv login and it's basically realtime.

I watch on either the PS4 or my laptop
