Okay, I'm confused. What can't people agree on? That looked like it was just a list of interesting Cubs guys, with blurbs about them from other sources (very confused at the idea that someone a Cubs site was going to give Cael Brockemeyer an A-, but whatever).

 

The Cubs have actually gone hard after pitching the last couple drafts. The only issue at play, really, that is discussed by fans, is whether or not a team should spend a first round pick on an arm. I'm not against it if the right player is there, although I am of the belief that this year, with the paucity of strong arms at the top of the draft, that the Cubs are better off going cheap (arm or bat) early to save some money and load up later.

Cael Brockeyer absolutely has a chance to be an "A" prospect by the end of the season. Now spread the word to every GM in baseball.

I saw Cael play for Boise. I thought he was too big to play catcher and because of his size he would have troubles handling the inside part of the plate.

 

But every time I saw him, he did well.

With the cubs apparently the front runners to get Eddy Julio Martinez in the IFA pool, i hope they grab the best arm possible in the first round. looks like more bats are coming from cuba anyways

To be clear, I have no issue with Cael. I just find it odd that a Cubs website (seemed like it was from something called The Cub Junction) someone would say that he is a possible A grade level prospect in our system.

With the cubs apparently the front runners to get Eddy Julio Martinez in the IFA pool, i hope they grab the best arm possible in the first round. looks like more bats are coming from cuba anyways

 

i have not seen anything indicating they are the front runners. source?

They are already tradeable. And that doesn't say they're the frontrunners. It says they are very interested.
