Cubs are 27-24 at Wrigley and 16-39 away. What gives?

Is it a product of youth? Just a crappy team? I'd be interested in what the nsbb crew thinks. Just playing at a .400 clip on the road would give the cubs 6 more wins and an overall record of 49-57.

Part of it is that their road schedule is going to get easier down the stretch. 12 of the remaining 26 road games are against bottom 5 teams in the NL, after only 12 of the first 55 were against the bottom 5(plus Minnesota).

The Astros are even more odd (25-27 home vs 11-46 road). They are a very young team as well; they are also very untalented.

No idea if youth has anything to do with it, but it certainly could. And just bad pitching, Dempster is the only starter who's been better on the road vs. Wrigley. Maholm, Garza, SammyJ all far better at home.
