Complain about Dale Sveum thread

my problem with the bunt is mostly that it had zero chance to produce the desired outcome anyway, so it was, at best, a waste of one of our 2 best hitters. it's like sveum was going through the proverbial old timey manager's handbook line-by-line for the sake of doing things the "right way". YOU HAVE TO TRY, AT LEAST, YOU HAVE TO TRY!

 

the kid in little big league would have deftly outmaneuvered dale here, this was like the exact scenario they tested on him before he got the job

 

I do hope he got a few lashes from Jed for failing this test, which effectively took the bat out of the hands of each of the 2 best hitters and still set up a DP scenario.

I thought the exact same thing. I like Dale. I really hated this move. I'm not going to get worked up about it. There have been so many improvements in other areas, so the occasional head-scratcher is bearable.
