Ok, so we're back to our original point about how it's dumb to declare X a terrible quarterback in their first couple seasons when they're winning games and improving (which Sanchez did and Tebow appears to be doing).

It's not dumb at all. Sanchez might turn into Peyton Manning or Tom Brady in a couple years but that doesn't change the fact that right now (or the last two years), he's not a good quarterback. Edited by soccer10k

Evaluating the cornerstone position in the entire sport based on a vacuum sealed snap shot is useless.

I'm not projecting Sanchez into the future. I'm saying what he is right now. Which is completely different from saying what he might or might not become. And right now, he's not good.

Funny how people still question him.

6-1.

First place.

LOL.

And then Finley drops an easy completion, which kills the drive.

Overreacting a bit because just his presence on the field is huge but he's making me not care too much if he doesn't get resigned because of all these drops

It's a lock that he gets franchised after this year. He pisses me off much more than James Jones did last year just because of the fact that he's a loudmouth who cries when he doesn't get the football and he's one of the most talented TE's in the game. Hey dumbass, start catching the football when it's thrown to you.

Don't have a good feeling about this one. Oh well.

What's nice is even if they lose they will likely clinch the division today.

Right, all the hysterical teeth gnashing over Tebow, Sancez, et. al. is just a dry, sober analysis of their abilities as of today.

Because nobody in the history of the universe has ever talked about how good any player in any sport is at the moment.

I do think a win/loss record has a tiny bit of merit in sports like football and basketball (moreso in basketball where a player must play both sides of the ball) but it's still overused by fans and there are still much better ways to analyze a player.

I can only hope that maybe Cutler can have Tebow touch his injured thumb next week and bring His miraculousl healing power upon Jay and the Bears

Let's see.

Week 5.

After replacing Kyle Orton, Tebow leads the Broncos back in the 4th quarter, narrowly missing a hail mary to end the game.

Week 6.

Down 15 points with 3 minuets to go, Tebow leads 2 TD drives, including a 2 point conversion. Broncos go on the win in OT.

Week 8.

Rushes for 118 yards. Puts up 38 points again division rival Oakland.

Week 9.

With the game at 10-3 on 3rd down Tebow throws a absolute dart to Decker for a 54 yard game sealing TD. He also runs for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Week 10.

Ball at the 5 yard line. Tebow goes 95 yards on a 12 play drive, including a 20 yard game winning TD.

Week 11.

Tebow proves he can win with his arm. Goes 10-15 including 2 scores and leads a game tying drive with 2 min left.

Man he sucks. Oh he hasn't even started 16 games yet.
