18-year old Arismendy Alcantara is up to a .271 batting average and a .718 OPS at Boise. Keep in mind that Junior Lake and Starlin Castro were at Mesa in their age 18 season.

This is why I'm excited about not just Hak-Ju Lee but also Jae-Hoon Ha. They are both having more than passable seasons as 19-year-olds in Low-A which is right in the same Castro/Lake timeline.

I haven't compared it to every organization, but against the org's that I have checked, the Cubs seem to have younger players at every level on average than the other guys.

Speaking of The Other Guys, if you haven't seen it, go. It's pretty freakin' hilarious.
