Despite the win and current 6-0 lead in game 2, the 2 guys that really count have been less than steller today. Carpener has given up 3 hit with 1 BB and 3 Ks through 2.

 

Jay Jackson went 5 IP giving up 2 ER. Shark eventually came in and gave up a bunch of runs, picking up where he left off.

I'm actually really happy to see Cashner go 7 innings and throw nearly 100 pitches. Considering he struck out two batters in his last inning, it seems like he was able to keep his stuff at that late stage of the game. His performance wasn't spectacular, but it was a positive sign.
