The righty from New Orleans sinks the ball with three pitches (two-seamer, change, slider) and throws a pretty good four-seam fastball on top of them. I found all four just looking at this relief outings in 2008 (May 9 and beyond), so he is going out there with a starter's kit, which allows him to work long, spot start, and find an effective pitch or two more often than true two-pitch pitchers.

And, these flight paths can tell you a lot. He really sinks the ball with everything, the four-seamer is going to feel like a cutter if he throws it in on a lefty, and the slider, well, that's a funky pitch. Maddog commented in the CC Sabathia post about the grip. Apparently, it's a curveball grip. Go figure.

You can read more about his pitch selection and how it breaks down against righties vs. lefties, as well.
