ok, i guess all the defensive metrics are out to lunch then

Watch the games!

awesome.

i watched today's game and saw a ball hit over his head for a double. pie probably makes that play without much difficulty.

Yeah, he probably would have. If only he could hit a baseball in major league competition...we might be on to something then.

Well Edmonds can't hit a baseball in major league competition either...so what does he exactly have on Pie? He looks sexier in a half-shirt?

Even factoring in Edmonds' terrible numbers in San Diego, his OPS is higher this year than Felix's. And it's pretty clear that Edmonds' swing is looking better.

He's not going to OPS .850, but he'll be better than Felix this year, probably by a decent margin.

that was the key to his "new" stance -- standing wider and eliminating the stride. I doubt we're going to see his 2004 numbers, but he's still much better than his 08 Padres numbers

While I'm nowhere near ready to claim the Cubs are having success with the Edmonds reclamation project, how awesome would it be to actually be the team that has the coaches that pull stuff like this off now and then?

I heart Gerald Perry.

Yeah it's about time we catch some lightning in a bottle and have all the cards fans complaining we have some magic pixie dust.
