Was there like a no-hitter tonight or something?

Oh, and did you see Ryan Ludwick hit a HR today that went out of Scott Hairston's glove and over the fence? I guess we can't expect too much help from the Padres, but geez ... learn to catch the ball or something.

Cards up 2-1.

Ludwick currently rocking a 32.7 LD%. The highest of any major leaguer in the last several years was Brian Roberts at 28.something, I can't find the link for the exact number.

What's LD% again?

Wait, Hairston is playing SS for the Reds now? I turned the Reds/Dodgers game on and the first play I saw was Hairston making a 2 run throwing error.

Albert Pujols just destroyed a ball to left field, I didn't think a home run could land that high.

you're going to get a lot of good pitches to hit when you've got ryan ludwick hitting behind you.

Ludwick's gonna bump that OPS north of 1.200 with a hit in his next at bat.

why shouldn't a career minor leaguer turn into ted williams when he puts on the uni with the birds on the bat?

And there's an RBI double by Ludwick. 7-2 Cards and Ludwick is 3-3. A triple away from the cycle.

Anybody watching the Reds game? Arroyo just gave up 3 runs in the inning on 5 singles...they showed Dusty just sitting in the dugout doing nothing and Vin Scully was just like "And there's Dusty, sitting there still chewing on that toothpick", or something to that effect.

vin has been a frequent witness to dusty stupidly chewing on that toothpick, not making moves he should be making.
