Okay I only ask for fantasy help when I'm really torn. In one of my money leagues I can have Shaun Marcum straight up for Edinson Volquez. Volquez has been filthy, but walks are a category in this league (which is stupid since walks are already taken into account in WHIP) and I know Edinson is going to hurt me every week in that. I also know that his walks are eventually going to catch up with him and he'll pay the price, so I'm aware that he's pitching over his head and it's a good idea to sell high. However, Marcum is pitching over his head right now, I'm just not sure how much he's pitching over his head.

All I have to go on is numbers right now so I'm hoping somebody might know more than I do about these guys.

Take Marcum. Seen him pitch quite a few times, looks like the real deal. He won't be this good, but he isn't going to regress as much as Volquez.

Don't forget the Dusty Baker factor - Volquez's arm could be blown out by June.

I am probably a little late on this one but I'll throw my $0.02 in anyway.

Volquez's home park is a launching pad (only 31 games played there w/o a HR). IMO, that means he will likely pay for the walks all the more at some point. A walk at Skydome doesn't put a pitcher in nearly as bad a shape as a walk in GABP.

Take Marcum (or be glad you did if you listened to the others).
