I was arguing with somebody over what catch was better: the Reed Johnson catch or the GMJ catch to rob Mike Lamb in 2006. Here is the play I'm talking about if you don't remember:

Click top play and "Matthews amazing catch" should play.

I personally think the Matthews catch blows Reed's away.

matthews is pretty freaking awesome

reed's catch is very nice though...his catch is so cool because it looks like the ball just barely rolls through the bottom lip of his glove...so close to being dropped...

GMJ's was spectacular but was all about timing, Reed's was incredibly insane considering how far he traveled to get to it. Reed gets the edge here for me

GMJr's catch is more complex than just timing. Timing it just right, being able to turn your back to the field while up on a fence, and then reaching way into the stands was just amazing. Reed's catch was great, no questioning involved, but GMJr's catch is nearly impossible.

I wish Reed hadn't lifted his right knee up to brace his fall, it would've looked that little bit better if he was flat out. That said, great catch.
