I drafted him in one of my leagues, held onto him when he was in the minors, and continued to hold onto him despite dropping some pitchers who were performing a bit better despite his struggles, banking on his potential. Does anyone think he's gonna bounce back soon? there's still some decent arms left in the FA pool in my league, but I don't want to drop any of my offensive players, nor do I want to drop any of my other pitchers. Should I hold onto Liriano, or do you guys think he could be a bust for a few months before he snaps out of it, thus meaning I should drop him for currently greener pastures?

I know its selling low but perhaps someone is interested in trading something for him? Maybe its worth putting feelers out there or you may be able to get something better in the FA pool. Either way, I'd get rid of him, no life in that arm and I'm guessing its going to take him till next season to get back into something close to his old form.

I think he'll return to form, but it may be the second half of this year or next year. Pitchers frequently have a tough time their first year back from TJS (see Kerry Wood, 1999).

next year

According to everyone who has watched him pitch and analyzed it, thats what it sounds like to me. In like 2 weeks people are going to start talking about how hes going to be a super duper sleeper next year, ironically rendering him not a sleeper.

Liriano is on one of my fantasy teams. Fortunately I've had him on the bench rather than active. In another league somebody actually had the nerve to offer him to me along with Kelly Johnson for Chase Utley.

I think he will bounce back in August. :D

The Twins should have waited until tomorrow to start him. The league I have him in is a weekly change league, so I couldn't activiate him for today's start. Had they waited until tomorrow he would have been a two-start pitcher next week. :(
