Why not Wieters as a 2-way player??

I have seen no one talk about this. He has been the closer the past 2 years for GT. He throws 98! I remember Brooks Kiechnick (sp??) a few years back doing this and think Wieters would be a very good reliever/catcher. I think it would be something the teams would have to consider.

I just say that 7.53 era 1-4 record, only 3 saves. yea not too good.

If you want your two way player to come up with an injury, by all means. Catching at the major league level is rough on the body. There's already concerns about him sticking at catcher in the future.

And you'd be wasting precious development time by trying him at pitching too.

There's a good chance that the Cubs won't draft him if he's available anyway.
