overrating the closer position, i think.

they're going to have to stop using him for over an inning too, as he's going to be ruined pretty quickly if they use him like they did last year.

some friends of mine who are huge boston fans are indifferent - they want to see him start, but they really like having the closer because they've seen what closer by committee can do, i suppose.

i have a fantasy draft tonight..too bad this information will spread too quickly to get a decent deal on papelbon.

I have Paps in 2 leagues, 1 in which I really needed saves help. So this is good news. Though I hope they don't ruin the kid's career by repeating last year's workload.

Are you "Hawk For The Hall" in "NSBB League"? I am browsing teams right now looking for potential trades and noticed Paplebon and thought "Man, he's only really got one closer"

No - I'm Dragons in NSBB 2007. I now have 4 closers (Nathan, Ryan, Paps, Torres).

considering they were thinking of Piniero as their closer, I think this is a good move. So the rotation is now Schilling/Beckett/Dice-K/Wakefield/???
