Soriano to play winterball?

I'll be VERY surprised if Hendry allows Fons to play. Hendry's job is on the line and if Fons is allowed to play winter ball and gets hurt Jim can start packing his bags.

The Cubs conducted a news conference to unveil the player who signed the richest contract in team history, and Hendry would prefer his eight-year, $136 million investment not tempt fate. A century of not winning a World Series can create that kind of caution.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but Fonz won't be playing winter ball, per Hendry's request. I doubt this will come as a surprise to anybody here.
