Padres exercised outfielder Mike Cameron's $7 million option for 2007.

Keeping Cameron was an easy call after he hit .268/.355/.482 in 552 at-bats this season. He's not quite the defender he was a few years ago, but he's still a fine center fielder and one of the game's more underrated players.

Guess we can mark off one of the options for CF next year. Padres also declined options on Piazza and Klesko.
