Chicago ESPN blackout?

Anyone have any idea why the game is not on ESPN in Chicago today?

My next question would be - why is a Col/StL game on Comcast in Chicago???

 

Isn't Comcast usually just local teams?

oh, i thought you were talking about the cubs game tonight.

 

i would say you're probably in a zip considered part of the cardinals' market as well (most of central and southern illinois is part of the cubs, white sox, and cardinals' blackout areas), but you're in chicago, so i have no idea.

Yeah, that is why i scratched my head. I can understand this if there is day Cubs or Sox game but i was near a TV today and turned to ESPN to see Pujols at bat (yes, i watch ALL baseball) and ESPNews was on???

Do you get Fox Sports Midwest? Cardinals are on there a lot.

I hate that I pay extra for the HD tier with my cable provider to get baseball games in HD, but whenever a game is on WGN or CSN the HD broadcasts get blacked out.

that happened to me with both the Pads and Giants game...and I live in Las Vegas.
