Not sure if this was mentioned, but the press release was sent out from the Southern League today.

 

BC Powder Southern League Pitcher of the Week (April 6-16): CARLOS MARMOL - WEST TENN DIAMOND JAXX. Diamond Jaxx righty Carlos Marmol allowed just 2 hits in 12 innings to earn the BC Powder Pitcher of the Week honors. On April 7 at Birmingham, Marmol tossed 6 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out 6. The right-hander continued his domination at Tennessee April 12, again tossing 6 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while fanning eight. Baseball America rates Marmol as the tenth best prospect in the Cubs' organization. Marmol was signed by the Cubs out of the Dominican Republic in 1999 as a catcher/outfielder but converted to the mound in 2002.
