My offense is star-studded, but my pitching seems a little weak to me. This is a standard 12-team league on yahoo with default stats. Also, this team hasn't been altered yet and all players came via an auto draft.

I agree. Pitching seems like it could be ok, but some of those guys aren't that well established. I like Myers and Patterson, but you might want to deal someone like Tejada perhaps for an ace and maybe something else. I say Tejada because you can probably use Furcal's steal, and you have plenty of power elsewhere. You also could use another closer or two,

Myers should have a huge season, but you are a little short at the top of your rotation. Saves will be shaky for you also. Starting 2 SS's everyday usually doesn't add up to much success. Usually that comes from a 1st, 3rd, or OF player, that is somewhat offset by one of you SS's being a power guy...but might be something to look at. Is this H2H or roto league?

I would DEFINITELY trade Tejada or Furcal for a pitcher.

Do yall think that Tejada for F. Cordero would be a good trade for me?

No.

Tejada is a late first/early second round pick. If you want a closer for him, you should be able to get a top closer like Rivera or Lidge. I typically don't like to pay too much for closers because they don't pitch enough innings to make as huge of an impact as a top starter. You can find saves in a 12 team league somewhere. I would probably try to trade Tejada for somebody like Roy Oswalt, Chris Carpenter, Roy Halladay, Carlos Zambrano, or Rich Harden. You should be able to get that. I would look and see which teams have weak shortstops (there should be about 3 or 4) and target those teams as trading partners. I wouldn't settle for anything worse than the above mentioned guys.

But if you decide to go closer instead of starter, go with Rivera or Lidge.

Just so you know, Furcal suffered back spasms tonight. I wouldn't trade Tejada that quickly.

I probably still would. Your offense is fine without a stud shortstop. I'm sure there's a decent option at SS availabe. If you can get a top starter, I'd do it no matter what.
