Here's the write-up on Aguilera.

 

RICK AGUILERA: 1st year on the ballot… Pitched 16 seasons…Two seasons with 40-plus saves, six seasons with 30-plus saves and nine seasons with 20-plus saves…Holds Minnesota Twins all-time record for most saves (254)…Named to three All-Star teams (1991-93)…Ranks 13th all-time in saves and is tied for 54th in games pitched…Finished in the top 10 in saves nine times (1990-95, 1997-98, 2000)…Led the NL in winning percentage once (1987)…One AL Division Series (1995): one earned run in 2/3 LDS innings…Three League Championship Series (1986, 1988, 1991): 0.59 ERA and three saves in 15 1/3 LCS innings…Two World Series (1986, 1991): 5.63 ERA, two wins and two saves in eight WS innings…Member of 1986 and 1991 WS championship teams.

Gary Gillette on Aggie's chances:

 

A right-handed reliever who put up good career numbers with his plus splitter (even though he pitched in less than 550 games and rarely dominated), Aguilera has only the barest Hall of Fame credentials. He will be lucky to hang on the ballot for more than a couple of years.
