    Dribbles in the box and then cuts it back out. My God... So much for our coming out party. If not for the fans or the team, at least do it for the sake of soccer in the country. Once again, the US is just a team the rest of the world has no problem playing. No credibility. ARGH! Even just advancing to the next round would have meant so much to soccer in the country. It certainly would've meant a lot to me. And now in South Africa, we get another crappy seeding (albeit less crappy with '98 out of the picture) because of our poor showing. Just very disappointing. And hopefully next time (and later on in this year's cup) the officials let the guys play soccer. The diving and crying has reached a new low. I have to agree with you there, I hate seeing these players carried out on a stretcher and be back on the field in 5 min. Ridiculous.

    The White Sox are for real. Their GM was criticized in the past but he has been very good the past couple of years. Too bad we can't say the same for ours.

    Brenly calling it like he sees it saying Murton is getting away from what made him successful. That will change when if ever this coaching will be fired.

    I'd rather bean him. Also, preferably by Zambrano. He's not a bad guy, just a big country hick from the hills (actually, from the same place Oprah is from). I met him once at a baseball camp when I was 15 playing legion ball. He had just got drafted around that time. He pitched to some of us during that camp and man, that dude has a sick sick curve. He was only like 19 or 20 at the time. I like Ole Miss already and I have never been there :)

    If he's fired now though, perhaps guys like Murton would get to play every day instead of being platooned with a Freddie Bynum. Baker can do more damage to this team, even when they're losing. Exactly. I wish I could find the date of the Clines qoute about Murton needing to be more aggressive and compare his pitches seen/PA. I bet there would almost be a direct corelation to that date and Muton's OBP slide. How is Murton supposed to get better at hitting right handed pitchers if he never sess them? Again, it's one thing to platoon a vet in the twilight of his career who is used to this type of thing, and quite another to a young player who is used to playing every day. Anyone want to look up Murton's # vs. righties in the minors? Unfortunately, for us Cubs fans Baker and Hendry are the biggest idiots in baseball. They are up there with the Joe Morgan's of the world.

    I was kinda hoping the Cubs would lose this one. I get no pleasure in seeing them win anymore because I know this season is done for.

    Which can only be good for baseball. I grew tiresome of seeing their stadium half empty for their playoff games. Except in 2003 when they played the Cubs and we made it Wrigley Field South!!! Ah, the good days.

    Lloyd McClendon once stole first base. Well, I'm sure that was entertaining. If I want a fired up entertaining team, I'll just request Barrett sucker punch AJ again. It actually was hilarious. I'm not a Lloyd McClendon supporter, I was just making a joke. Link Hilarious. I always found him funny. I remember when him and LaRussa went at it face to face, I thought McClendon was about to destroy TLR.
