  1. With those three wins, I've already got the ZOU penciled in for a January BCS game. OU and Texas both have lost!!!
  2. Strange things happen when a team is at home and the Humpty Turf Dome is a pretty significant HFA for the Queens. That said, I think the Bears will win, but its not going to be a blowout like the first two games. I just want to mention how many people were saying this about the Lions game..."It's going to be a test"..."Defensive battle"...yadda yadda. I don't think the Vikings really have a great offense. I think we can get pressure on Johnson, and he'll throw balls away. I'm not sure what to expect out of the Bears offense. I would love to say that I have complete confidence in them putting up a bunch of points each game, but it's hard to reverse all that bad offense mojo that I've witnessed for so long. I need to see it against Minny and Seattle before I'm convinced. That said, I think the Bears win 17-3 Do you think the Bears would have won by 27 in Detroit? I doubt it. Whether you want to admit it or not, HFA is a pretty big tool, the Pack didn't utilize it simply because they are very very terrible. I think the score is closer to what Vance has predicted: around 17-13. You just better hope they get out of there unscathed.

  4. Last week: Soccer: 11-4 ND: 10-6 Vance: 9-7 Mark: 8-8 Ryan: 7-9 YTD: Soccer: 19-13 ND: 16-16 Vance: 17-15 Mark: 16-16 Ryan: 7-9 This will make things easier...
  5. They also don't need starting pitching with: Dontrelle Olsen Johnson Anibal Sanchez Nolasco That team is really good. They could use a big time power bat in the middle of the lineup (first base or Center Field?), but overall, they will be a tough team to beat for many years to come with that very strong rotation.
  6. I really think there needs to be a max keeper list (major league roster) to make things a bit more interesting (while still being in the confines of the 1800 point system). I would set it at 12 (or so...) so there can at least be some interest in the draft for next season... It would make some people more cognizant of deals as well. This coming from somebody who could realistically keep 15-16 guys and I would have to make some roster crunch decisions, but part of the allure of a fantasy league is a draft, and the draft is no fun if you only need to take 6 or 7 players. Just my .02.
  7. It is difficult to put a team like WVU over Auburn given that Auburn beat a team that had national title aspirations. WVU has played a creampuff schedule so far. They will be hurt be the Big East being awful, no doubt about it, but Auburn should also get a lot of credit (if both teams run the table mind you...), for beating a much more difficult schedule than WVU. WVU should be upset that the majority of teams in that conference are not very good, thus hurting their own chances for a national championship with an absolutely incredible offense. Btw, how can anyone not vote OSU number one? I understand that Auburn just beat LSU, but that game was at home and was certainly not a decisive win like OSU had over Texas (probably the big XII Champ...) ON THE ROAD. Those be some crazy voters.
  8. You'd have to be pretty thin-skinned to be embarrassed by a 14-point loss to an extremely talented team. You should have been embarassed by that defensive effort. 617 yards is ungodly.
  9. Damn, and I was hoping OSU would be the ones to expose and embarass ND again in the Fiesta Bowl. Oh well. No more title aspirations for the Irish!
  10. How is Edmonds going to improve over 120 OPS points? Is that for the 50 games he's healthy for next season? How the hell does BP get that for his PECOTA for next year? Anybody who thinks he'll be at those numbers is a fool.
  11. In bizarro and unsettling news, Northern Colorado's backup punter stabs the current punter in leg
  12. Tim is it when a player reaches over three years of service time that they are not eligible for points exempt??? Btw, I like my chances next year with Kinsler, Sheets, Johan, Teixeira, Dunn (oh if i can keep Dunn...), Hanley, Delmon Young, Franceour, Milledge, Anibal, Wang, Kemp, and a nice minor league roster with some ml ready players. Edit: 7th in points and third from last... That is some bad luck!
  13. So you don't like debating it, however will say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY BY FAR, about ND's SOS. Consistent arguments plz.
  14. Nice catch Soccer, I had you with the Texans. 5-9 you are!
  15. I'd like to think I played a role in these teams making it :D Hopefully Manny, Peavy, Corey, and Nomah step it up for you guys.
  16. ND has played Ga. Tech on the road and PSU at home. That is tougher than NIU at home and Texas on the road?? Gotta love the ND bias.
  17. OSU better not have a letdown against Cincy. A rout over a bad team is much needed after stomping Texas in the mouth.
  18. ATS: (updated after the Sunday night game) Vance: 7-7 Mark: 7-7 ND: 5-9 Soccer: 4-10 I'll run a YTD for anyone that wants to play ATS on here also. We'll have to find a website for universal lines so everyone would play on the same playing field.
  19. This guy clearly is delusional.
  20. Egads the Pack are terribly miserable
  21. Geez, that Troy Smith is pretty good, Mr. McCoy. Papa McCoy is one scary looking dude.
  22. Where's Charlie Batch in that photo??
  23. I can hardly contain my excitement for Saturday's rendezvous in Austin. I'm gonna be working and I may call off with some fictitous ailment to watch the game. What a rebel, I know.
  24. What an amazing trade for the Marlins. Got one of the best SS in the NL with a great young pitcher for an overpaid overrated starter. Got them a WS, blew out his arm, sold him high. That last sentence depresses me :(
  25. Why is it that you can only make changes one day in advance? If you try and make changes beyond that, it changes the previous days' changes. Thus, I don't have time every day to check, and I miss out on big days like Anibal Sanchez's No Hitter. Am I the only one that has that problem?
