  1. Bob Costas still gives me goosebumps.
  2. lol, this thread is actually more comical than the Illini game thread today.
  3. AP jobs aren't really all that great or prestigious. Jesus, you are always a killjoy. Your title should be "Negative Nancy."
  4. Keepers: Mark Teixeira Lance Berkman Ryan Braun Hanley Ramirez Justin Upton Minors: Matt Wieters (I remember getting criticized for a trade last year!) Dexter Fowler Justin Smoak Mike Moustakas
  5. Ugh...
  6. If they took Vontae Davis over Maclin I think I'd lose my [expletive] mind. Would it be more or less painful than seeing Illinois in the Rose Bowl?
  7. How are the new players going to get their new players? Are they going to get the first five rounds to pick their players to kind of put them on a similar playing field as the rest of us?
  8. Realgm is making this sound like its a done deal.

  10. i have heard through a reliable source that Kirk will be dealt sometime later tonight or tomorrow to the Wolves for Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins.
  11. I think I'm to the point where if we acquire Amare, that Vinny needs to go. The Bulls could run a great up-tempo game, but Vinny's cluelessness on offense (both sides actually...) could hinder the Rose/Amare duo to the point where Amare may not re-sign here when he becomes a FA. Other outlets are out there that are reporting that Amare is going to stay a Sun, and now the Bulls are pursuing Chris Kaman and Marcus Camby. :banghead:
  12. Nothing major, just more from RealGM:
  13. Yawn. It's a road game, Big Ten homering is brutal. Maybe they do things differently in the Patriot league, but you'd be hard pressed to find a Big Ten fan not agree that road teams get hosed. Find me the ref complaints on games in Champaign. Last game you had a Kansas and Iowa fan laughing at the homering, and this game you had an IU fan jokingly say nice tackle to his own player. Is anyone else amused by the irony of Truffle getting on someone for complaining about the refs? Penn State got hosed!!
  14. Do you not watch NBA on TNT? I don't watch much basketball unless the Bulls are on.
  15. I'm considering trying to get a group of guys to take on Indiana. We may have a shot.
  16. I am interested, but there has to be a way to do it through yahoo without being too big of a pain in the ass.
  17. Kenny Smith is so amazing. Why have I not heard much of him before? He's ripping everyone!

  19. I was there last night, and the one thing that stood out to me (and infuriated me to no end) is how terrible their passing was. Even in the neutral zone, and in their own zone without pressure, NOTHING was crisp last night and guys could not receive a pass to save their lives. We have gotten dismantled by the Blues the last three times we've played (even in that SO win in January, they outplayed us by a wide margin) and it is embarrassing to say the least.
  20. What a [expletive] way to piss that [expletive] away.
  21. Hush you. Come on Ben! And then we need a stop..
  22. Awesome comeback!!! Finish it off, boys!
  23. Bulls have 56 million (including Hughes who accounts for 13 million) invested into players next year. Don't tell me they couldn't sign Boozer to a max contract. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/chicago.htm They can't. The cap next year is going to be about 61.5 million. I think you're confusing the salary cap with the luxury tax threshold.
  24. I highly doubt that the Bulls can afford to sign Boozer under the cap.
  25. I wish others would hammer this point home, because it is dead on. There's a few things that everybody needs to realize about how the dynamic of the team changes if we get Stoudemire. We could become a tremendously efficient offensive club with a point guard who can beat pretty much anyone off the dribble and get to the dish and draw teams to play a style of "who do we want to beat us?" Getting a guy like Amare makes Deng a tremendous third option, Kirk a viable fourth option on offense as the spot up shooter and focus more of his attention on defense. Would I like to give up Noah? No, because I think he would be an excellent fit next to Noah, but if the alternative is to replace a guy like Noah while having the entire team benefit offensively, or to allow this team to flounder in mediocrity, the former is a very obvious choice. Would Amare bolt Chicago after the 10 playoffs? I really doubt it. Chicago is a city that can make him a megastar with the right combination of effort, consistent winning, and marketing. This would be an ideal situation for him from a career standpoint. This is a very low risk deal in the long run for this team when you think about it.
